why I write

I swore to myself I would never do this… start a blog that is. I always found blogging to be pretentious. I used to think of bloggers as this bunch of people who think they know more than they really do, expressing their thoughts and feelings because they think someone should or does care. The more I read blogs, especially religious ones, I found myself becoming increasingly agitated by a dull or asinine or downright offensive argument. So why join the fad? Why give in? Because writing is a release, it’s a way to clear my head.

The last 6 years of my life have been spent at two different educational institutions studying theology. Recently, I decided to walk away from the place where I was doing some grad work and needless to say my mind needs a place where it can unwind.  This blog is my way to find a piece of mind; my own little session of theological therapy. I welcome and ask for any of your thoughts and comments as I try to process and work through my thoughts and experiences.
